Pakistan on February 27 and released on March 1 has now featured in a spoof of a Pakistani tea advertisement. While Varthaman changed into Pakistan’s custody, a video was released wherein the pilot becomes visible ingesting a cup of tea, which he called “extremely good.”
The pictures have now been used in an edited model of an antique commercial for Tapal Tea, a Pakistani brand based in Karachi. In the original commercial, a female spy on a young couple is lovingly sipping tea on their balcony. The spoof video replaces the couple with Varthaman and has received tremendous popularity on Twitter, with many believing it to be a true advert.
