British comic Griff Rhys Jones will explore Australia through its community of railways in a brand new journey series, “Griff Off the Rails: Down Under.” Rhys Jones will travel through us, discovering the origins of the railroads, the testimonies of the individuals who function them, and the communities that rely upon them. Australian pubcaster ABC has pre-offered the series.
Rhys Jones toured Australia for the final 12 months, is a touring author, and has made several journey shows such as “Three Men in a Boat” for the BBC and “Slow Train Through Africa” for ITV. It provides an opportunity I’ve never had before to discover every nook of this perfect area and get out into the wild regions that trains will take me to. It’s exceptional to be again in Australia,” he stated.
This fascinating tale could be about how Australia constructed a big infrastructure to unite the United States and its human beings. It is recorded, commentary, and journey all wound into one. Chris Hilton’s Essential Media is making the six-part real display. Kew Media is selling it the world over.
Filming gets underway this month. We’re thrilled to be running with Griff to create a very extraordinary series to provide visitors a wonderful outsider’s attitude on the foundation of the contemporary USA and the origins of what it approaches to be an Australian nowadays,” stated Brendan Dahill, Essential Media’s well-known supervisor, and a former ABC and BBC govt.
